A Trip down Dragonfly Way

I finally finished SABF Milk & Cookie Santa and started a present for my mom for Mother's Day. I'm doing a design from April 07 Stoney Creek magazine, "A Mother"

I went to Shepherd' s Bush on Saturday and kitted up my first Samsarah design, Baubles-April, and I also got fibers for Designs By Lisa's Egg Parade! Can't wait to start that one. I'm doind it on mint green, and with the colors, I think it will look fabulous.

We did get some great news...we are PCSing to Nevada. Can't wait! But, I think we'll be super busy up until the actual move.

Happy Belated New Year!!

So much was happening over Christmas that I didn't get my SABF Milk & Cookie Santa finished like I wanted. I'm at his beard - which I hate. I really, really don't like working with whisper thread. I think I'll like the finished look, but not the process in getting there. LOL

As of 1-6-07, here he is

I also got started on my Stoney Creek Hummingbird Trellis afghan on Thursday, 1-3-07...I wasn't sure if I'd like working on afghan fabric and I LOVE IT!! And, the colors and shading so far are just beautiful! My DH even commented on it.

Busy, Busy Weekend

After a terribly busy weekend, we can say we are completely finished Christmas shopping! Yeah!! I'll post a picture of our tree when I can figure out how so that it is not sideways ~ LOL.

And, I'll post updated pictures of my Milk & Cookie Santa - I have completed from his beard down and am now working on the mittens & up. I think my DH's present isn't going to be completed before next week...so I'll probably just take it with me to finish when we go to Vegas New Year's weekend (DH got concert tickets for Christmas to see Van Halen at the MGM Grand!)

We sat down on Friday evening and placed an order for my Christmas present through 123stitch! I was very conservative ~ I only spent $100. I'll post a list of what I got when I get the invoice...too bad that I can't open it up and fondle all my new patterns when my order comes. And, DH was such a gem ~ he sat there the whole time with me and told me what he liked. He's a keeper!!

I have to drive to Bountiful today to get my Pulmonologist to sign off on my driving priviledges...which really sucks. I've been putting this off for a couple of months since Bountiful is about 20-30 minutes away; not far really, but just such a pain in the patoot! Anyway, I get a letter on Saturday that says if I don't return this form to the Dept of Licensing BY 30 DEC, they are going to revoke my D.L. - well, I guess I had better get ready this a.m. and drive to Bountiful to get the doc to sign off. (I had my Cardiologist sign off on it in October when I went and had him sign my medical clearance for our Cruise)

I'll try and post those pictures later this afternoon...ta ta for now!

And, we finally have SNOW!

Finally, after waiting all night last night and all day today, the snow is sticking. We are supposed to get 6-12" tonight and I was beginning to wonder if the weather people hadn't been hitting the bottle! LOL I'm sooo excited - I love snow! Now, if I could get it to snow and it be 90 degrees outside, I'd have it made!

On the stitching front - I'm still plugging away on Sisters and Best Friends-Milk & Cookie Santa, although I don't have an updated photo yet. And, I started on my DH's present - it's the Air Force seal. When finished, I'm going to frame it with a photo of him in his Blues. I'm also hoping to get to stitch a couple of ornaments before Christmas.

Well, off to finish my report that I am procrastinating doing. I've only got 3 pages out of 8 written. Not too good for 2 days work. Oh, well, as long as it's done by Sunday! Have a great day!
